My journey
- I am a Master of Information (MI) candidate in User Experience Design (UXD) and hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Photography. My role as a Photographic Archivist ignited a passion for UX as I grappled with a poorly designed archiving system, leading me to pursue advanced education in the field.
What makes me unique
- I have a community-driven mindset, emphasizing sustainability, inclusivity, collaboration, and a holistic understanding of a community's unique context and aspirations. With a background in visual storytelling, I amplify the narratives of community members, ensuring their stories are not only heard but are visually and emotionally impactful.
My values
- I am a lifelong learner with a passion for sustainable and inclusive design. I am dedicated to empathizing with user needs, amplifying user voices, and embracing diverse perspectives.
Passions outside of UX
- Learning the cello (it's hard!)
- Reading (speculative fiction, magical realism, non-fiction on cultural theory, anthropology...)
- Fine arts (photography, textiles, pottery, any new craft that comes my way...)
- The outdoors (travel, sense foraging, swimming, kayaking, canoeing, hiking, climbing...)
- Community projects (see resume)
